DIRECTIONS TO USE

• Measure the desired quantity of rice with the rice cup and pour it into another container for washing. Do not use the rice cooker to wash rice. It will lead to damage of the fluorinated protective layer on the inner cooker and the bottom could get deformed, which will in-turn lead to mal-function. Soak the rice in water for about 10 to 15 minutes before cooking for best results.
• Pour the rice and add water into the inner cooker according to the level markings on cups or rice capacity (L). Desired water level depends on rice quality and taste demands.
• Put the inner pan into the main body of cooker only after you have wiped off all the water existing on the outer surface of the inner pan, thermostat and heater. Gently turn the inner pan to left and then to right in the main body for better contact between inner cooker and heater. Do not let the rice to pile on the sides. Make sure that it is spread evenly on the bottom to avoid bad cooking results such as half done rice.
• Click shut the outer cover after positioning the inner cooker. Make sure that the clip hole of inner cover and the outer cover clip are click shut and then close the covers tight.
• Plug in the power cable to the power socket only when the rice is ready to be cooked. Then push the cooking button down to start cooking. If the power cable is plugged while the cooking button is not pushed down, the rice cooker will automatically set to keep-warm mode.
• Do not push the cooking button down when the inner cooker is empty or the inner cooker is not placed in the unit.
• When the rice is cooked, the cooking indicator will get switched off and the keep-warm indicator will light up automatically. After the cooking indicator goes off, wait for about 15 minutes before opening the covers so that the rice will be good for eating. If you want to eat the rice later, just let it remain in the cooker, it will be in warm mode (upto 60 C, automatically).

Cautions for keeping - warm

• Rice will turn a little harder after keeping warm for a long time in the cooker, so it would be better to add in some water to make the rice softer in case it is kept in warm mode for a long time. When putting the rice into the cooker for keeping - warm. Be sure that the rice is loosened evenly and close to the wall of inner cooker. Be sure that the rice scoop is not left in the inner cooker and the outer cover is closed tight. If not, the water in the rice will evaporate out. Without power supply rice cannot be kept warm. Continuous keeping warm over 12 hours may cause change of rice smell.
• Unplug the power cable when not in use.
