The COOLPIX P300 is designed to squeeze superb camera capabilities into a highly compact form. At the heart of performance is a specially crafted f/1.8 NIKKOR lens that employs High Refractive lndex glass to deliver sharp images with high contrast. Its fast aperture, 4.2x optical zoom and 24 mm wide-angle coverage^* expand creative possibilities. Adding strength in challenging conditions is a back illuminated CMOS image sensor that realizes high sensitivity and low noise by increasing the amount of light received by each pixel.

Manual settings control lets you realize your envisioned image

A dedicated mode dial on the top plane provides quick access and full creative control over the P/S/A/M exposure modes as well as scene mode selection. An independent command dial lets you change aperture settings at will. And special effects available when shooting still photos or movies make it easy and fun to express your creative side.

Beautiful night shots as only a fast lens can deliver

Innovative technologies that help you easily capture beautiful photographs at night range from the advantages of the fast aperture lens, back illuminated CMOS image sensor and highly effective VR image stabilization functions, to the optimized Night Portrait, Backlighting (HDR) and Night Landscape scene modes.

Full HD movie recording with stereo sound

Record full 1080p HD movies with stereo sound at the press of a button. You can operate the optical zoom while recording. And the built-in HDMI mini connector with HDMI-CEC support enables output to your HDTV*.
